Blanche B. Toltzman, 93, Spencer, passed away on Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, at Bland-Bekkedal Hospice Center in Viroqua. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Spencer. Rev. Rebekah Tarras will officiate. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in the town of Brighton. Lunch will be served at the church.
Blanche Rinehart was born on Jan. 31, 1925, in Halsey in Marathon County, to William and Alvina Rinehart. On June 5, 1943, Blanche married the love of her life, Raymond Toltzman. Together they had three sons. Blanche and Ray owned and operated a farm in Spencer for many years. She worked at Land ‘O Lakes for 14 years. Blanche and Ray enjoyed bowling, cards and traveling together. They were life-long members of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Blanche is survived by her two sons: Dale (Candace) Toltzman of Viroqua and Gregory Toltzman of Viroqua; five grandsons; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her parents, William and Alvina Rinehart; three brothers; four sisters; and their son, Terrance.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Spencer.
