Abbotsford Elementary celebrates Dr. Seuss' birthday

Students in Barb Salisbury’s third-grade class at Abbotsford Elementary crowd around the door last Friday to greet The Cat in the Hat and his friends, Thing One and Thing Two. In front, from left to right, are third-graders Fatima Sanchez, Ana Flores and Briseida Escalera.

To celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday March 2, students and teachers at Abbotsford Elementary School participated in Read Across America activities every day last week. Friday was “Pajama Day,” and awards were presented to the classes who decorated their doors. The Cat in the Hat and Thing One and Thing Two delivered the trophies to each of the classrooms.
