Clark County Deer Council recommends fewer tags

Fewer antlerless deer harvest tags would be available in Clark County this fall under a proposal by the county’s Deer Advisory Council in response to hunters complaining of too-few whitetails on the landscape.
Harvest quota recommendations approved Monday night by the council could raise the deer population by an estimated 22 percent in the forest zone region in the county’s western half, and by 12 percent in the farmland zone of the county’s eastern side.
