Clark Co. sheriff alleges ‘malicious’ treatment by committee

Although Clark County Sheriff Greg Herrick has been driving a controversial new truck for four months, the legal wrangling connected to the purchase of the vehicle and a county committee’s attempts to stop it appear to have many miles more to travel.
In an amended court complaint filed Aug. 3 against the Clark County Law Enforcement Committee, Herrick claims recent committee actions have been “vindictive” and “malicious” and have been intended to cause him public embarrassment and undermine his authority as the county’s constitutionally empowered chief law enforcement officer.
