Janet Marie Kiehl, 77, passed away at her home on Sunday, March 22, 2015.
Janet was born June 27, 1937, to Jacob and Frieda (Erdman) Hamus in Eau Claire. On Oct. 1, 1955, she married Willard Kiehl in Auburndale. He died Dec. 17, 2011. Janet worked as a dietician at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. After retirement she volunteered at Burt Trophy and Awards.
She was an active member at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Marshfield, where she helped get the hearing loop installed and a church pew shortened to help those with disabilities. Janet enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and attending their sporting activities. Some of her hobbies included crocheting, gardening, crafts and watching her soap operas. Janet enjoyed traveling with her sister, Darleene, to Florida. She was always on the go, she never stayed home.
She is survived by her children, Janien (Brian) Rinehart, Colby, Timothy (Linda) Kiehl, Rice Lake, and Dean (Paula) Kiehl, Cameron; seven grandchildren, Corey, Josh, Kasey, Trevor, Jeni, Chelsea and Kolby; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Darleene (Earl) Giese, Mona (Bill) Dieringer and Floyd (Pat) Hamus; nieces and nephews; and relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a son, Ricky Kiehl.
Funeral service was held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Marshfield at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2015, with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. The Rev. Chris Schwanz presided. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Marshfield.
