Roger A. Webster
Roger Allen Webster, 88, of Sheldon, died on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 28 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheldon with Pastor Dean Herberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Donald Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday morning at the church.
Roger was born on March 30, 1931 in Woodman, the son of the late Ernest and Sylvia (Oats) Webster. The family moved to the Donald area in 1940 and he was raised there. He graduated from Gilman High School and went on to serve his country in the Army from 1949-1955. Roger then married Johanna, who later died. He married Valerie Mosur on March 20, 1982 in Milwaukee. Roger worked for the Ladish Company in Cudahy as a general foreman for many years. The couple moved to the Sheldon area in retirement.
Roger is survived by his two step-daughters, Betty Kopecky of Oak Creek and Judy (Larry) Steppke of Mukwonago; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; his siblings, Rosella Mravik of South Milwaukee, Mary (Joe) Thorgerson of Jump River and Leland (Sylvia) Webster, Ivan Webster and Marvin (Theresa) Webster, all of Gilman.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his sister, Joan Morris; and brothers, Stanley, Gordon and Donald Webster.
Plombon Funeral Service-Gilman assisted the family with arrangements.
