Marvin A. Blumenstein

Marvin A. Blumenstein, 85, of Rib Lake, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 12 at the Chelsea Conservation Club in Medford beginning at 1 p.m.
Marvin was born on Nov. 26, 1933 in Medford to the late William and Freida (Pechstein) Blumenstein. He married Sylvia Fliehs on Aug. 9, 1958 and she survives. Marvin graduated from high school and entered the military serving in the United States Air Force. He later worked as a lineman for Taylor Electric. Marv enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching his grandchildren in their sports.
In addition to his wife, Marvin is survived by four children, Marvin (Burdella) Blumenstein, Jody (Dawn) Blumenstein, Tammy (Rick) Westfall and Bradley Blumenstein; eight grandchildren, Kassie (Justin) Blumenstein, Kelsi Blumenstein, Kyle (Tiffany) Blumenstein, Travis (Heather) Blumenstein, Taylor (Madaline) Blumenstein, Tori Blumenstein, Marshall Westfall, and Connor Westfall; one brother, Wayne (Betty) Blumenstein; and three sisters, Dorothy Franz, Donna Mohr and Janet (George) Smola.
In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by his sisters, Evelyn Blumenstein, Flora Asleson and Darlene Madison; and three brothers, Hartley Blumenstein, Harold Blumenstein and Eugene Blumenstein.
