Lester “Orville” E. Frenzel

Lester “Orville” E. Frenzel, 84, of Medford, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Cedar Springs Health and Rehab in Cedarburg, where he had resided for the past six months. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21 at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford with Military rites will be performed by the Medford Area Military Honors Team. Pastor David Clements will officiate. Interment of his cremated remains will take place at Medford Evergreen Cemetery II. Visitation will be held at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford from 12 p.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.
Orville was born on May 23, 1934 in Medford to the late Rosalie Ruth (Hoffmann) and Edward Peter Frenzel. He attended Thielke Elementary School in the town of Medford and Medford High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1959. After the military, he farmed in the town of Medford his whole life until his retirement from farming. He enjoyed gardening.
In addition to his parents, Orville was preceded in death by his siblings, Gordon Frenzel in 2000 and Verna Huebner in 2011.
Orville is survived by nieces and nephews; four great-nieces; and seven great-great-nieces.
