Edward “Ed” C. Hoeck, 60, of Withee, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, where he had been a patient for the past five days. A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 20 at New Life Apostolic Church in Medford with Pastor James Rider officiating. Interment was held at Perkinstown Community Cemetery in the town of Grover. Visitation was held at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Pallbearers were his nephews, George “Joe” Webb, Andrew, Jacob and Matthew Hoeck, Joshua Judnic, Skyler Hartman and Tyler Clarkson.
Ed was born on May 16, 1959 in Medford to the late Karen Evelyn (Rickaby) and Earl Louis Hoeck. He attended Little Black and Stetsonville elementary schools and was a 1977 graduate of Medford High School. After his education, he worked for periods of time at Weather Shield, Jentzsch Mink Ranch and currently he was working at Medford Fur Foods. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, kayaking, camping and gardening. Ed was a member of New Life Apostolic Church in Medford, where he was presently serving as head usher and coordinated their usher ministry
Ed is survived by his siblings, Kathy (Tom) Henke and Becky (Brent) Clarkson, all of Medford and Jim (Michele) Hoeck of Goodrich; nieces and nephews, Raegan Hoeck, George “Joe” Webb, Rachael (Josh) Judnic, Tyler Clarkson, Kayleigh (Skyler Hartman) Hoeck, Andrew (Tori) Hoeck, Jacob Hoeck and Matthew Hoeck; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Lindsey, Addison, Talon, Maverick, Natalie and Dawson.
