Teams improve from one meet to the next

With only two days between meets, the Cornell-Lake Holcombe Knights Track teams bumped up their scoring, finishing the same or better in the second of two meets.

May 9 at Colfax

At a May 9 Colfax track meet, the boys landed in the No. 3 spot, while the girls finished in sixth out of 14.

“We have several athletes really moving in the right direction right now,” said Knights head coach Tim Sime. “They are running, jumping and throwing better, which is what we need.”

After winning the boys’ triple jump, senior Kyle Goltz led the way for his team, taking second in the 200-meter dash and third in the long jump.
