Lake Holcombe still hungry for success

The teams were pretty evenly matched, as the No. 9 ranked Lake Holcombe Chieftains Boys Basketball team challenged the No. 8 Rib Lake Redmen Feb. 28, for the first match of Regionals.

Three-point shooting junior Trent Novak was hurt early in the first half, and collected only two three’s during the game. Head coach Joy Webster said this made a difference in the match up.

“He (Novak) tried to go, but shooting was tough for him,” said Webster. “We averaged three or four kids in double figures all season, and Reedy was the only one to hit a double.”
