Robert “Bob” T. Moore

Robert “Bob” T. Moore, 90, Cadott, and formerly of Boyd, passed away peacefully Monday, March 6, 2017, at the Cornell Area Care Center, with family at his side in the care of St. Joseph’s Hospital Hospice.

Robert was born Aug. 8, 1926, the son of Thomas and Linda (Licht) Moore, in Stanley.

He was raised in the Town of Edson and attended the New Sacred Heart Catholic School until eighth grade, where he was the first student to volunteer to make a fire in the potbelly heat stove.

He worked various jobs in the area and served in the United States Army from 1946-47.

Robert was united in marriage to Adeline Dahlka Aug. 31, 1948.

Bob was a well-known cheese maker. He owned and operated the Delmar Cheese Factory from 1960 until 1980. He then worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chippewa Falls from 1979 until his retirement in 1991.

Upon retirement, Bob and Adeline moved to their cabin on Pike Lake.

Adeline passed away Dec. 16, 1997, and Robert was united in marriage to Delaine Goettl April 29, 2000. Following their marriage, they lived in the Cadott area.

Bob enjoyed bowling, playing cards with his brothers, golfing, pontooning, watching the Packers, Badgers and Brewers, being able to travel to many states and Canada, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife – Delaine Moore; children – Cletus (Cathie) Moore, Wayne (Sheila) Moore, Allan (Joy) Moore, Bev (Ted) Erickson, Jane (special friend, Ben Smith) Moore and Bill (Diane) Moore; stepchildren – Rhonda (Jim) Kimball, Brenda (Brett) Deringer, Tim (Tammy) Goettl and Brian (Brenda) Goettl; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; 10 stepgreat-grandchildren; brothers and sisters – Ron (Helen) Moore, Tom (Karen) Moore, Alice (John) Soper, Don (Patty) Moore, Donna (Gene) Hagenson and Chuck (Sandy) Moore; sister-in-law – Joanne Dahlka; brother-in-law – Don Gravunder; and many nieces, nephews, close relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife – Adeline; sister and brother-in-law – Pat and Art Waggen; and brother – Gene Moore.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 11, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Drywood, with Father Eric Linzmaier officiating. Interment with military honors conducted by the Boyd American Legion Post 326 was in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Boyd.

Visitation was Friday, from 4-8 p.m., with a 7:30 p.m. Rosary at Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott, and one hour before the Mass Saturday, at the church.
