Six-day tour planned for Armed Forces

An Armed Forces Appreciation Week and Living Heritage Legacy Tribute Tour will take place May 15-20, with six days of stops at several tributes. Each stop will also include new signs revealed.

Veteran and former Wisconsin Sen. Dave Zien will join the tour, and says this is the first year something like this has been held.

“The goal is to reveal or dedicate 27, 4x8, double-sided Living Heritage Legacy signs within those six days,” said Zien.

The tour begins at the Eau Claire Dairy Queen on the corner of Water and Menomonie streets, at 8 a.m., May 15, with stops for the day at the Highground Veterans Park in Neillsville, the Area Historic Tribute in Fairchild, and Wisconsin Adventures on Wheels in Greenwood, to name a few.

Other stops on the six-day tour include Big Swede’s in Holcombe, the Eau Claire Veterans Tribute Trail, the Lincoln County Veterans Memorial, Five Star Dairy in Elk Mound and the Ladysmith Veterans Park.
