Serenity Fitness in Cadott might look the same from the outside, but is home to an 1,800 square foot expansion. The new space officially is in use after an open house Dec. 19.

The room offers a flexible place to work out, with space for group fitness classes, as well as an Olympic lifting station, free weights, and 2,000 pounds of bumper plates with three lifting stations.

Eric and Dawn Luebstorf have owned the fitness center, located in the old grocery store building on Main Street, for nearly seven years. They joked that they have worked on the expansion for the last six and a half years.

“Two years in the making, that we actually were started on it and everything,” said Dawn. “We ran into a lot of problems.”
