Moldrem takes place in Athletics Hall of Fame

There are not many who can say they are a Hall of Famer

By Ginna Young

There are not many who can say they are a Hall of Famer, but Cadott High School physical education instructor Kari (Rowekamp) Moldrem is one of the few who can. Moldrem was elected to the UW-Stevens Point Athletics Hall of Fame Oct. 19, 2018.

Moldrem found out she had been selected to the softball wing of the Hall of Fame, through a message from her college coach, Dean Shuda. Shuda asked if he could have her cell number to pass on to the current coach.

“Dean said it was about our 20-year National Championship reunion, which was a cover-up story,” said Moldrem. “It was really to get my information to let me know that I was chosen to be inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame.”
