Local districts look to eSucceed with charter school
By Ginna Young
The Cornell and Lake Holcombe school districts are just two area schools to jump on the bandwagon for an intergovernmental cooperation agreement, to form the eSucceed Virtual Charter School.
After months of planning and research, the boards approved the agreements (Lake Holcombe, Feb. 18; Cornell, Feb. 27), along with five other districts. Included in the two-year commitment, are Cadott, Gilman (the overseeing district), Bruce, New Auburn and Stanley-Boyd.
“Will the school be a success?” said Cornell superintendent Paul Schley. “I don’t know, you hope so. Most virtual schools have been.”
