Those driving by the old Cornell Corporation buildings on State Hwy. 27, can probably tell the company has a new purpose and is back on track to be successful. That success was recognized May 10, at the Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) annual meeting, where the company, now known as Kurt Manufacturing, received the Quadrant 2 Business of the Year Award.

The CCEDC awards recognize Chippewa County’s top-notch businesses, entrepreneurs, builders and influential leaders.

“We have some exciting new products that we’re developing right now,” said Mike Coughlin, Kurt employee owner. “Our products are the highest performing products in our industry.”
