Holcombe area proclaimed for all to see with new sign

The entrance to Holcombe on State Hwy. 27, heading north, has seen some sprucing up, thanks to efforts from the Lake Holcombe Resort and Business Association, and the Green Team Garden Club.

A new sign proclaiming the Lake Holcombe recreation area was installed before Memorial Day, replacing the much faded and falling apart old sign.

“I approached the business and the resort owners of the area…I kept seeing that sign coming in and I thought, you know, it represents the city,” said resident Larry Becker. “And I thought it needed some updating.”
