For Wayne and Pam Zitzka, a trip to Cornell this past summer, was more than a chance to grab a bite to eat and a short stop at the visitors center. It was a chance to explore family history.

“My maiden name was Cornell,” said Pam, adding Ezra Cornell, the man the city is named after, was her great-great uncle.

She says it was the first time she stopped in Cornell, though she now lives in Spooner.
