The Cornell Elementary School is hoping for a slam dunk with their 13th annual Thanksgiving Food Drive through Nov. 15. Students can bring in non-perishable food items, which will be given to the Cornell Food Pantry.

The theme of the food drive is “Helping Our Neighbor is a Slam Dunk!”

“Throughout the two weeks, food items will be brought in every day and tallied,” said Shannon Thon, drive organizer.

Over the years the drive has run, more than 20,000 items have been collected.
