Cornell City Council; Lack of parking a problem for snowmobiles

Cornell’s snowmobile routes are a tad outdated

By Ginna Young

Cornell’s snowmobile routes are a tad outdated, as determined by the city council at a regular meeting Jan. 3. After city administrator Dave DeJongh was approached by a member of the local snowmobile association, the council took a look at route modifications.

“It (map) really doesn’t show any way from getting from the Old Abe Trail, to say, the Main Street businesses,” said DeJongh.

With the modifications, the snowmobile club member wondered if the council would have an issue with the crafts traveling up Main Street, to turn into the alley behind Schick’s Bowl and Brew.
