Cornell City Council; Gun range updates continue

IT LOOKS LIKE THIS –– Scott Bowe describes how updates to the Cornell Gun Range will look at a Cornell City Council meeting May 4. Bowe says last year’s work on the range “looks good,” and that plans to renovate the site continue. (Photo by Ginna Young)

At the regular Cornell City Council meeting May 6, Scott Bowe reported on how updates to the Cornell Gun Range are coming along.

“The work we did last fall is looking pretty good,” said Bowe.

He says there is still a problem with trash being left at the range, and that a camera will be installed to monitor the problem. Bowe and the Cornell Police Department will coordinate to stop the littering.

More changes to the range are in the works, as shelters and benches need to be “fixed,” with money left from state grants.
