Cornell City Council; City works gets another pair of hands
The Cornell City Works Department is back to full strength, following the Cornell City Council’s hiring of another employee to help with maintenance in the city. Coming out of the Finance Committee, the council approved the hire of Mitchell Phelps at a regular meeting Jan. 4.
“We’d like to thank everyone who did apply for that job and the interviewees,” said Steve Turany, council member. “We were once again very fortunate to have some good folks apply for that position.”
Phelps’ start date for the Teamsters Union position is pending a physical and background check.
