Cadott receives composite bench for collecting plastic

When the community pulls together, recycling can make a big difference. The Cadott Lions Club collected enough plastic to receive a Trex composite bench, through a community recycling program run by the company.

“So far, we’ve put in 869 pounds,” said Brian Dulmes, Cadott Lions Club member.

As part of the recycling program, communities have six months to collect at least 500 pounds of plastic bags. If the goal is met, the community will be given a bench made out of composite lumber.

“We’ve been getting a lot of pallet wrap,” said Dulmes. “That helped us out quite a bit.”
