Brother and sister team up to help community

It’s a long time until the start of school this fall, but for Donovan and MacKenzie Bera, now is exactly the time for people to start thinking of school supplies. The brother/sister are holding a Community School Supply Drive, July 8 through Aug. 9.

“It’s hard to learn without a pencil,” said Ashley Carothers, the kids’ mom.

For Donovan, he is collecting traditional supplies, such as folders, glue sticks, scissors and notebooks as part of his Journey to Excellence Award. Donovan will lead his Cub Scout pack to achieve the award.
