The Ten Commandments have taken on a new twist under the penmanship of Cornell resident Jenny Blaisdell. Through her spiritual relationship with God, Blaisdell penned Time for Jesus – Rhyme for Jesus, Book One of the Ten Kid-Mandment Series.

“I didn’t technically co-write, but the obvious inspiration was written in stone thousands of years ago,” said Blaisdell, referencing the Ten Commandments mentioned in Exodus 20:1-17. “Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith, Hebrews 12:2. He is the one I hope to honor with this work.”

Blaisdell, who serves as the family education director for the Cornell-Lake Holcombe 21st Century Community Learning Center, says she has always loved writing and rhyming. When Blaisdell combined her love for Jesus with her love for writing, it gave her an idea.
